Welcome to “Big Iron Aviation” and Screen Classics.

It is our goal to have the most attractive Warbird t-shirts and Unlimited Air Racing t-shirts ever produced.

To us, our shirts are much more than just shirts. They are art. No amount of effort, research, or art costs are spared to get the desired result. Our formula is very simple. What would I like to purchase and wear for myself? Once that question is answered, we proceed to produce it ourselves. If I cannot do it, I will find someone who can. Nowhere will you find any shortcuts or any other means to keep costs down at the expense of the end product.

Some of our designs include P-51 Mustangs such as "Old Crow", "Hurry Home Honey", "Cripes A' Mighty 3rd", "Moonbeam McSwine", "Sweetie Face", "Alabama Rammer Jammer", "Nooky Booky IV", among others. We have done two Corsairs so far, the F4U-1A, flown by Ira Kepford of VF-17 "Jolly Rogers", and one of the original F2G Super Corsairs belonging to Bob Odegaard. We do the P-38 Lighting "Putt Putt Maru" and "Glacier Girl".

Recently, Unlimited Air Racers like the ones that compete at the Reno Air Races, have become our most popular sellers. In 2004, we did "Precious Metal' to sell in the "Precious Metal" pits and it went over very well. Then with the blessing (and even encouragement) of many of the other teams, we added the "Red Baron" RB-51, "Spirit of Texas" Hawker Sea Fury, "Dreadnought" Hawker Sea Fury, "Miss Ashley II" (Griffon powered P-51 Mustang based racer), "Conquest I" Bearcat, a couple of Yak 9s, and last years' winner "September Fury". Our next designs will include a Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero, Focke-Wulf FW 190, Messerschmitt BF109, Spitfire, and more.

Lastly, thanks to all of the customers who have made these shirts so popular and as a result allowed us to do what we like to do best.

Please note: There are 204 possible size and color combinations that I will try to keep in inventory. As you can well imagine this is not an easy thing to do, especially since these shirts are screenprinted. Screenprinting gives the best results but take a very long time to set up, (also, most of my designs are 6 colors or more) so small runs are not done. Please e-mail me with your shirt request before placing your order. Thanks, Chuck
